Misti Nims

This is Misti's 16th season as Head Coach at Jefferson Davis CC. She began coaching in 2001 where she has lead the Warhawks to 10 state tournament appearances and in 2015 was named the ACCC Coach of the Year. She has produced numerous Academic All Americans, All Region players, All Conference players, and also have helped 30 players move on to the next level.

Since 2004, Coach Nims also was the Head Volleyball Coach at JDCC until 2013. She decided to step down to focus primarily on softball. Besides her coaching duties, Misti also is a full time instructor in the Health/Physical Education Department teaching First Aid/CPR, Wellness, Personal/Community Health, Foundations of Physical Education, College Orientation, Jogging and Aerobics.
Coach Nims is a native of Cantonment, Florida, where she was a four-year starter for the Softball team and a two year starter for the Volleyball team at J.M. Tate High School. She then earned a softball scholarship to Pensacola Junior College where she was an All-Academic Team member and an All-Conference first baseman. She then went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Sports Science and then her master's degree in Health, Leisure and Exercise Science/ Physical Education at the University of West Florida.
